Dear Watertown Public Schools Faculty, Students, and Families,

It is with great excitement that I share who is appointed to be the next WHS Principal!

On Monday, March 27, the Watertown Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Mr. Gianni Perugini, currently working at Thomaston High School.

Mr. Perugini will be joining the WHS family on July 1, 2023. We had many candidates who brought different strengths to the role. At the end however, it was a clear lead that Mr. Perugini was the choice.

Thank you to all of the WHS stakeholders, district administrators, and central office personnel who were part of the interview process. In addition, thank you to all the district stakeholders who filled out surveys and attended focus groups in helping us create the WHS Community Principal Profile. Click here for the official WHS Principal Press Release.

I hope you all have some time to relax and if you’re gearing up for the Final Four this Saturday …. It’s Husky Nation, Go UCONN!
