Dear Watertown Public Schools Community,
 
A Public Hearing took place yesterday at WHS where the Board of Education and Watertown department leaders presented FY23 recommended budgets to the Watertown Town Council. Immediately following the public hearing, at a special town council meeting the FY23 budget figures below were voted on and approved to move forward to a town referendum.
 
The Watertown Budget Referendum will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Residents of Watertown who are of age will be able to vote for the town budget on that day.
 
Town General Fund: $33,583,861
School General Fund: $50,549,438

Watertown Wall of Honor Nominations
The Watertown Board of Education is currently seeking nominations for the Watertown High School Wall of Honor. The purpose of the Wall of Honor is to recognize those individuals that have brought distinction to Watertown High School and the community through their commitment to excellence. To be nominated to the Wall of Honor, a candidate must have graduated from Watertown High School at least ten years prior to the year of induction and consistently demonstrated the highest standards of excellence and honor in their chosen vocation. Award recipients will be chosen from the fields of Athletics, Business/Finance, Fine/Performing Arts, Education, Health/Medical Services, Government/Public Service, and Science/Technology. Nomination Forms can be found on the district’s website at www.watertownps.org The completed nomination forms must be received in the district office no later than May 22, 2022. St. Jude Telethon! Judson School: Sunday, May 1, 2022
**For the first time, a group of Judson's 4th and 5th graders will be performing on the 43rd St. Jude 'Tim Driscoll' Telethon! This takes place at Torrington High School and is broadcasted LIVE on Cable 5 as well as live streamed online from 9am-10pm! Friends and families are also invited to attend in person as there is a super food and bake sale and extraordinary door prizes to be won. All monies (100%!) raised throughout the day are donated directly to St. Jude! Judson's 4th and 5th grade singers will be performing at 10:15am and the instrumental musicians will be performing at 11:15am! Tune in to watch!
