Dear Watertown Public Schools Families and Faculty,
Although many of our students today are not old enough to remember, I think many of us as adults can recall where we were and what we were doing on September 11, 2001. In my own family, my uncle and cousins in the years after the 9/11 attacks served tours in Afghanistan and other countries year after year making September 11th always like yesterday. However, as time has passed, this weekend marks the 20th anniversary of an event that touched the lives of so many and memorials across our nation and community will take place to remember those who so bravely served, lost loved ones, or are dealing with the after effects of the crash site. As our flags fly half staff for 9/11 this weekend, I wish you all a moment of peace to share with one another in memory, love and thanks.
Sincerely,
Dr. V
