Recognition of Polk Elementary School Students – Artist of the Month.
On Monday, January 10, 2022, the Board of Education congratulated the following students from Polk Elementary School for being selected Artist of the month.
Artist of the month is awarded each month by Polk's art teacher, Mrs. Jody Field. The chosen Artist has their work showcased in the school's main hallway so that others may enjoy their masterpieces.
December Artist - Mary Andrade Gutierrez, 5th Grade Student.
Mary is a hard-working, focused, and diligent student. She always gives her work 100% and
knows that taking her time brings about her best results.
November Artist - Rubi Del Rio-Perez, 5th Grade Student
Rubi is an exceptional artist as well as a wonderful example for her classmates. She can
always be found making good choices. She is kind and helpful. Rubi is a past designer of the
district-wide holiday card when she was in kindergarten.
October Artist: Shane Peck, 4th Grade Student.
Shane is a hard working student who puts passion and enthusiasm into his artwork. He sets a
wonderful example for his peers.
September Artist: Janelle Napp, 5th Grade Student.
Janelle's focus and diligence shine through in her artwork. She is always enthusiastic and
respectful. Janelle is a role model for her classmates
