Native American Heritage Month
The month of November is Native American Heritage Month. Did you know that there are 574 federally recognized Native American tribes in the United States. In our State of Connecticut we recognize 5 tribes: the Golden Hill Paugussett in Trumbull and Colchester; the Mashantucket Pequot in Ledyard; the Mohegan in Montville and Norwich; the Paucatuck Eastern Pequot in North Stonington; and the Schaghticoke in Kent.
